Suppose someone says to God, "I have endured [my punishment]; I will no [longer] act wickedly.

Teach me what I cannot see; if I have done wrong, I won't do it again."

The sons of your oppressors will come and bow down to you; all who reviled you will fall down on their faces at your feet. They will call you the City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

"Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock.

"Do whatever He tells you," His mother told the servants.

"But get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."

Therefore I immediately sent for you, and you did the right thing in coming. So we are all present before God, to hear everything you have been commanded by the Lord."

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went out to a place he was going to receive as an inheritance; he went out, not knowing where he was going.

Now take seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer a burnt offering for yourselves. Then My servant Job will pray for you. I will surely accept his [prayer] and not deal with you as your folly deserves. For you have not spoken the truth about Me, as My servant Job has."

You will pray to Him, and He will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows.

Do not despise the LORD's instruction, my son, and do not loathe His discipline;

for the LORD disciplines the one He loves, just as a father, the son he delights in.

Go, eat your bread with pleasure, and drink your wine with a cheerful heart, for God has already accepted your works.
