Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am alone and afflicted.

The distresses of my heart increase; bring me out of my sufferings.

Make images of your tumors and of your mice that are destroying the land. Give glory to Israel's God, and perhaps He will stop oppressing you, your gods, and your land.

Let Him take His rod away from me so His terror will no longer frighten me.

remove Your hand from me, and do not let Your terror frighten me.

There is no soundness in my body because of Your indignation; there is no health in my bones because of my sin.

For my sins have flooded over my head; they are a burden too heavy for me to bear.

Would you really challenge My justice? Would you declare Me guilty to justify yourself?
