As they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take and eat it; this is My body."

At that, the Jews argued among themselves, "How can this man give us His flesh to eat?"

Anyone who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day,

The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood lives in Me, and I in him.

You are to cook and eat [it] in the place the LORD your God chooses, and you are to return to your tents in the morning.

I am poured out like water, and all my bones are disjointed; my heart is like wax, melting within me.

Yet the LORD was pleased to crush Him, and He made Him sick. When You make Him a restitution offering, He will see [His] seed, He will prolong His days, and the will of the LORD will succeed by His hand.

Then Moses said to the people, "Remember this day when you came out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery, for the LORD brought you out of here by the strength of [His] hand. Nothing leavened may be eaten.

Unleavened bread is to be eaten for those seven days. Nothing leavened may be found among you, and no yeast may be found among you in all your territory.

"Do not present the blood for My sacrifice with anything leavened. The sacrifice of the Passover Festival must not remain until morning.

Such people are to observe it in the second month, on the fourteenth day at twilight. They are to eat the animal with unleavened bread and bitter herbs;

You must not eat leavened bread with it. For seven days you are to eat unleavened bread with it, the bread of hardship-- because you left the land of Egypt in a hurry-- so that you may remember for the rest of your life the day you left the land of Egypt.

Offer leavened bread as a thank offering, and loudly proclaim your freewill offerings, for that is what you Israelites love [to do]! [This is] the LORD's declaration.

Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the yeast in bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast permeates the whole batch of dough?

Therefore, let us observe the feast, not with old yeast, or with the yeast of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

A little yeast leavens the whole lump of dough.

and made their lives bitter with difficult labor in brick and mortar, and in all kinds of fieldwork. They ruthlessly imposed all this work on them.

Such people are to observe it in the second month, on the fourteenth day at twilight. They are to eat the animal with unleavened bread and bitter herbs;

"Then I will pour out a spiritof grace and prayer on the house of David and the residents of Jerusalem, and they will look at Me whom they pierced. They will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child and weep bitterly for Him as one weeps for a firstborn.

and you became imitators of us and of the Lord when, in spite of severe persecution, you welcomed the message with the joy from the Holy Spirit.
