Look, every life belongs to Me. The life of the father is like the life of the son-- both belong to Me. The person who sins is the one who will die.

and lends at interest or for profit, will he live? He will not live! Since he has committed all these abominations, he will certainly die. His blood will be on him.

The person who sins is the one who will die. A son won't suffer punishment for the father's iniquity, and a father won't suffer punishment for the son's iniquity. The righteousness of the righteous person will be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked person will be on him.

However, if the watchman sees the sword coming but doesn't blow the trumpet, so that the people aren't warned, and the sword comes and takes away their lives, then they have been taken away because of their iniquity, but I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood.

If I say to the wicked: Wicked one, you will surely die, but you do not speak out to warn him about his way, that wicked person will die for his iniquity, yet I will hold you responsible for his blood.

but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for on the day you eat from it, you will certainly die."

But about the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God said, 'You must not eat it or touch it, or you will die.'"

"No! You will not die," the serpent said to the woman.

For the LORD had said to them that they would all die in the wilderness. None of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

Therefore, this is what the LORD says: 'You will not get up from your sickbed-- you will certainly die.' " Then Elijah left.

Woe to the wicked-- [it will go] badly [for them], for what they have done will be done to them.

For know and recognize this: no sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of the Messiah and of God.

Let no one deceive you with empty arguments, for because of these things God's wrath is coming on the disobedient.

"Therefore, house of Israel, I will judge each one of you according to his ways." [This is] the declaration of the Lord God. "Repent and turn from all your transgressions, so they will not be a stumbling block that causes your punishment.

For I take no pleasure in anyone's death." [This is] the declaration of the Lord God. "So repent and live!

And with many other words he testified and strongly urged them, saying, "Be saved from this corrupt generation!"

Therefore repent and turn back, that your sins may be wiped out so that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

Be conscientious about yourself and your teaching; persevere in these things, for by doing this you will save both yourself and your hearers.

My brothers, if any among you strays from the truth, and someone turns him back,

he should know that whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his life from death and cover a multitude of sins.

But if you warn a wicked person to turn from his way and he doesn't turn from it, he will die for his iniquity, but you will have saved your life.

"Now as for you, son of man, say to the house of Israel: You have said this: Our transgressions and our sins are [heavy] on us, and we are wasting away because of them! How then can we survive?

The wicked are thrown down by their own sin, but the righteous have a refuge when they die.

Then He said to them again, "I'm going away; you will look for Me, and you will die in your sin. Where I'm going, you cannot come."

Therefore I told you that you will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I am [He], you will die in your sins."

"This is what the Lord God says: Look, I am against the shepherds. I will demand My flock from them and prevent them from shepherding the flock. The shepherds will no longer feed themselves, for I will rescue My flock from their mouths so that they will not be food for them.

I will require the life of every animal and every man for your life and your blood. I will require the life of each man's brother for a man's life.

Whoever sheds man's blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in His image.

But Reuben replied: "Didn't I tell you not to harm the boy? But you wouldn't listen. Now we must account for his blood!"

How much more when wicked men kill a righteous man in his own house on his own bed! So now, should I not require his blood from your hands and wipe you off the earth?"

so that this generation may be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets shed since the foundation of the world--

from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. "Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible.

Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of everyone's blood,

for I did not shrink back from declaring to you the whole plan of God.

Don't be too quick to lay hands on anyone, and don't share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.
