The chamber that faces north is for the priests who keep charge of the altar. These are the sons of Zadok, the ones from the sons of Levi who may approach the LORD to serve Him."

You are to give a bull from the herd as a sin offering to the Levitical priests who are from the offspring of Zadok, who approach Me in order to serve Me." [This is] the declaration of the Lord God.

It is for the consecrated priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept My charge and did not go astray as the Levites did when the Israelites went astray.

" 'Then I will raise up a faithful priest for Myself. He will do whatever is in My heart and mind. I will establish a lasting dynasty for him, and he will walk before My anointed one for all time.

Then the king appointed Benaiah son of Jehoiada in Joab's place over the army, and he appointed Zadok the priest in Abiathar's place.

not addicted to wine, not a bully but gentle, not quarrelsome, not greedy--

(If anyone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of God's church?)

Furthermore, he must have a good reputation among outsiders, so that he does not fall into disgrace and the Devil's trap.

holding the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience.

And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

"To the angel of the church in Sardis write: "The One who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars says: I know your works; you have a reputation for being alive, but you are dead.

"To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: "The Holy One, the True One, the One who has the key of David, who opens and no one will close, and closes and no one opens says:

"To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: "The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Originator of God's creation says:

"Anyone who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches."

"At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the LORD's covenant, to stand before the LORD to serve Him, and to bless in His name, as it is today.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.

Now Joshua was dressed with filthy clothes as he stood before the Angel.

Then I said, "Let them put a clean turban on his head." So a clean turban was placed on his head, and they clothed him in garments while the Angel of the LORD was standing nearby.

"This is what the LORD of Hosts says: If you walk in My ways and keep My instructions, you will both rule My house and take care of My courts; I will also grant you access among these who are standing here.

When you brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in both heart and flesh, to occupy My sanctuary, you defiled My temple while you offered My food-- the fat and the blood. You broke My covenant with all your abominations.

Then the priest will burn them on the altar as food, a fire offering for a pleasing aroma. "All fat belongs to the LORD.

This is a permanent statute throughout your generations, wherever you live: you must not eat any fat or any blood."

This is so the Israelites will bring to the LORD the sacrifices they have been offering in the open country. They are to bring them to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting and offer them as fellowship sacrifices to the LORD.

The priest will then sprinkle the blood on the LORD's altar at the entrance to the tent of meeting and burn the fat as a pleasing aroma to the LORD.
