When the demon had been driven out, the man spoke. And the crowds were amazed, saying, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!"

and large crowds came to Him, having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, those unable to speak, and many others. They put them at His feet, and He healed them.

So the crowd was amazed when they saw those unable to speak talking, the deformed restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they gave glory to the God of Israel.

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, shouting, "Have mercy on us, Son of David!"

Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came and kept crying out, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is cruelly tormented by a demon."

Then the crowds who went ahead of Him and those who followed kept shouting: Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!

"What do you think about the Messiah? Whose Son is He?" "David's," they told Him.

He asked them, "How is it then that David, inspired by the Spirit, calls Him 'Lord':

"Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could this be the Messiah?"

When some from the crowd heard these words, they said, "This really is the Prophet!"

Doesn't the Scripture say that the Messiah comes from David's offspring and from the town of Bethlehem, where David once lived?"
