Then Peter said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here! Let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah"--

because he did not know what he should say, since they were terrified.

As the two men were departing from Him, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it's good for us to be here! Let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah"-- not knowing what he said.

Then Moses said, "Please, let me see Your glory."

He said, "I will cause all My goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim the name Yahweh before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."

Many are saying, "Who can show us anything good?" Look on us with favor, LORD.

You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures.

[A Davidic psalm. When he was in the Wilderness of Judah.] God, You are my God; I eagerly seek You. I thirst for You; my body faints for You in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water.

My lips will glorify You because Your faithful love is better than life.

You satisfy me as with rich food; my mouth will praise You with joyful lips.

Your eyes will see the king in his beauty; you will see a vast land.

How lovely and beautiful they will be! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine, the young women.

"Lord," said Philip, "show us the Father, and that's enough for us."

Jesus said to him, "Have I been among you all this time without your knowing Me, Philip? The one who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

Father, I desire those You have given Me to be with Me where I am. Then they will see My glory, which You have given Me because You loved Me before the world's foundation.

I am pressured by both. I have the desire to depart and be with Christ-- which is far better--

Dear friends, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him as He is.

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because God's glory illuminates it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

and there will no longer be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and His servants will serve Him.

Night will no longer exist, and people will not need lamplight or sunlight, because the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign forever and ever.
