ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_40 2:13-16
13
After they were gone, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Get up! Take the child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. For Herod is about to search for the child to destroy Him."
14
So he got up, took the child and His mother during the night, and escaped to Egypt.
15
He stayed there until Herod's death, so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled: Out of Egypt I called My Son.
16
Then Herod, when he saw that he had been outwitted by the wise men, flew into a rage. He gave orders to massacre all the male children in and around Bethlehem who were two years old and under, in keeping with the time he had learned from the wise men.

Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled in the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

and they conspired to arrest Jesus in a treacherous way and kill Him.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_40 27:1
When daybreak came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_40 27:2
After tying Him up, they led Him away and handed Him over to Pilate, the governor.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_1 37:18-20
18
They saw him in the distance, and before he had reached them, they plotted to kill him.
19
They said to one another, "Here comes that dreamer!
20
Come on, let's kill him and throw him into one of the pits. We can say that a vicious animal ate him. Then we'll see what becomes of his dreams!"

2
The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers conspire together against the LORD and His Anointed One:
3
"Let us tear off their chains and free ourselves from their restraints."
4
The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord ridicules them.
5
Then He speaks to them in His anger and terrifies them in His wrath:
6
"I have consecrated My King on Zion, My holy mountain."
7
I will declare the LORD's decree: He said to Me, "You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.
8
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance and the ends of the earth Your possession.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_41 12:7
"But those tenant farmers said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him, and the inheritance will be ours!'

So they seized him, killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_42 20:14
"But when the tenant farmers saw him, they discussed it among themselves and said, 'This is the heir. Let's kill him, so the inheritance will be ours!'

47
So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and said, "What are we going to do since this man does many signs?
48
If we let Him continue in this way, everybody will believe in Him! Then the Romans will come and remove both our place and our nation."
49
One of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all!
50
You're not considering that it is to your advantage that one man should die for the people rather than the whole nation perish."
51
He did not say this on his own, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,
52
and not for the nation only, but also to unite the scattered children of God.
53
So from that day on they plotted to kill Him.

"For, in fact, in this city both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, assembled together against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed,

to do whatever Your hand and Your plan had predestined to take place.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_44 5:24-28
24
As the captain of the temple police and the chief priests heard these things, they were baffled about them, as to what could come of this.
25
Someone came and reported to them, "Look! The men you put in jail are standing in the temple complex and teaching the people."
26
Then the captain went with the temple police and brought them in without force, because they were afraid the people might stone them.
27
When they had brought them in, they had them stand before the Sanhedrin, and the high priest asked,
28
"Didn't we strictly order you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to bring this man's blood on us!"
