Then He said, "Do not lay a hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your only son from Me."

and because He did not need anyone to testify about man; for He Himself knew what was in man.

When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he was glad, and he encouraged all of them to remain true to the Lord with a firm resolve of the heart--

and heard Paul speaking. After observing him closely and seeing that he had faith to be healed,

For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift--

We recall, in the presence of our God and Father, your work of faith, labor of love, and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ,

knowing your election, brothers loved by God.

But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without works, and I will show you faith from my works.

Foolish man! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?

You see that faith was active together with his works, and by works, faith was perfected.

Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, pick up your stretcher, and walk'?

But so you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins," He told the paralytic,

He will see [it] out of His anguish, and He will be satisfied with His knowledge. My righteous servant will justify many, and He will carry their iniquities.

Just then some men brought to Him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, "Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven."

Seeing their faith He said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven you."

Therefore I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven; that's why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little."

Those who were at the table with Him began to say among themselves, "Who is this man who even forgives sins?"

God exalted this man to His right hand as ruler and Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Now to whom you forgive anything, I do too. For what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, it is for you in the presence of Christ,

accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so also you must [forgive].

"Daughter," He said to her, "your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be free from your affliction."

But Jesus turned and saw her. "Have courage, daughter," He said. "Your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that moment.

"Daughter," He said to her, "your faith has made you well. Go in peace."

in order to turn a person [from his] actions and suppress his pride.

A person may be disciplined on his bed with pain and constant distress in his bones,

His flesh wastes away to nothing, and his unseen bones stick out.

If there is an angel on his side, one mediator out of a thousand, to tell a person what is right for him

then his flesh will be healthier than in his youth, and he will return to the days of his youthful vigor.

[Davidic. A Maskil.] How happy is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered!

When I kept silent, my bones became brittle from my groaning all day long.

Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not conceal my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD," and You took away the guilt of my sin. Selah

For we are consumed by Your anger; we are terrified by Your wrath.

For all our days ebb away under Your wrath; we end our years like a sigh.

He forgives all your sin; He heals all your diseases.

Indeed, it was for [my own] welfare that I had such great bitterness; but Your love [has delivered] me from the Pit of destruction, for You have thrown all my sins behind Your back.

After this, Jesus found him in the temple complex and said to him, "See, you are well. Do not sin any more, so that something worse doesn't happen to you."

This is why many are sick and ill among you, and many have fallen asleep.

The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
