When Peter saw this, he addressed the people: "Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this? Or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?

He said to them, "Men of Israel, be careful about what you're going to do to these men.

Then standing up, Paul motioned with his hand and spoke: "Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen!

shouting, "Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people, our law, and this place. What's more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has profaned this holy place."

Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel: I will help you-- the LORD's declaration. Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene-- whom you crucified and whom God raised from the dead-- by Him this man is standing here before you healthy.

For we heard him say that Jesus, this Nazarene, will destroy this place and change the customs that Moses handed down to us."

"I answered, 'Who are You, Lord?' "He said to me, 'I am Jesus the Nazarene, whom you are persecuting!'

For we have found this man to be a plague, an agitator among all the Jews throughout the Roman world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes!

In fact, I myself supposed it was necessary to do many things in opposition to the name of Jesus the Nazarene.

Then he went and settled in a town called Nazareth to fulfill what was spoken through the prophets, that He will be called a Nazarene.

Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the One Moses wrote about in the law (and so did the prophets): Jesus the son of Joseph, from Nazareth!"

Pilate also had a sign lettered and put on the cross. The inscription was: JESUS THE NAZARENE THE KING OF THE JEWS

You know the events that took place throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John preached:

For the king knows about these matters. It is to him I am actually speaking boldly. For I'm not convinced that any of these things escapes his notice, since this was not done in a corner!

When John heard in prison what the Messiah was doing, he sent [a message] by his disciples

Jesus replied to them, "Go and report to John what you hear and see:

And if anyone is not offended because of Me, he is blessed."

When the men reached Him, they said, "John the Baptist sent us to ask You, 'Are You the One who is to come, or should we look for someone else?'"

He replied to them, "Go and report to John the things you have seen and heard: The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, those with skin diseases are healed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the good news preached to them.

The one named Cleopas answered Him, "Are You the only visitor in Jerusalem who doesn't know the things that happened there in these days?"

This man came to Him at night and said, "Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one could perform these signs You do unless God were with him."

"But I have a greater testimony than John's because of the works that the Father has given Me to accomplish. These very works I am doing testify about Me that the Father has sent Me.

When the people saw the sign He had done, they said, "This really is the Prophet who was to come into the world!"

Don't work for the food that perishes but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal of approval on Him."

However, many from the crowd believed in Him and said, "When the Messiah comes, He won't perform more signs than this man has done, will He?"

If I am not doing My Father's works, don't believe Me.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and said, "What are we going to do since this man does many signs?

Meanwhile the crowd, which had been with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify.

Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I speak to you I do not speak on My own. The Father who lives in Me does His works.

Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me. Otherwise, believe because of the works themselves.

If I had not done the works among them that no one else has done, they would not have sin. Now they have seen and hated both Me and My Father.

At the same time, God also testified by signs and wonders, various miracles, and distributions [of gifts] from the Holy Spirit according to His will.

After they arrived and gathered the church together, they reported everything God had done with them, and that He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.

When the crowds saw this, they were awestruck and gave glory to God who had given such authority to men.

If I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

If I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

But Jesus responded to them, "My Father is still working, and I am working also."

Then Jesus replied, "I assure you: The Son is not able to do anything on His own, but only what He sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son also does these things in the same way.

If this man were not from God, He wouldn't be able to do anything."

Jesus said to her, "Didn't I tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?"

I know that You always hear Me, but because of the crowd standing here I said this, so they may believe You sent Me."

Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I speak to you I do not speak on My own. The Father who lives in Me does His works.

Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me. Otherwise, believe because of the works themselves.
