I say to the unmarried and to widows: It is good for them if they remain as I am.

Therefore I consider this to be good because of the present distress: it is fine for a man to stay as he is.

Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be loosed. Are you loosed from a wife? Do not seek a wife.

But he who stands firm in his heart (who is under no compulsion, but has control over his own will) and has decided in his heart to keep his own virgin, will do well.

So then he who marries his virgin does well, but he who does not marry will do better.

His disciples said to Him, "If the relationship of a man with his wife is like this, it's better not to marry!"

But He told them, "Not everyone can accept this saying, but only those it has been given to.

Then God said to him in the dream, "Yes, I know that you did this with a clear conscience. I have also kept you from sinning against Me. Therefore I have not let you touch her.

See which field they are harvesting, and follow [them]. Haven't I ordered the young men not to touch you? When you are thirsty, go and drink from the jars the young men have filled."

So it is with the one who sleeps with another man's wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished.
