And you can join in helping with prayer for us, so that thanks may be given by many on our behalf for the gift that came to us through [the prayers of] many.
I hereby issue a decree concerning what you must do, so that the elders of the Jews can rebuild this house of God: The cost is to be paid in full to these men out of the royal revenues from the taxes of the region west of the Euphrates River, so that the [work] will not stop.
Whatever is needed-- young bulls, rams, and lambs for burnt offerings to the God of heaven, or wheat, salt, wine, and oil, as requested by the priests in Jerusalem-- let it be given to them every day without fail,
so that they can offer sacrifices of pleasing aroma to the God of heaven and pray for the life of the king and his sons.
[For the choir director. A Davidic psalm.] Happy is one who cares for the poor; the LORD will save him in a day of adversity.
The LORD will keep him and preserve him; he will be blessed in the land. You will not give him over to the desire of his enemies.
People will curse anyone who hoards grain, but a blessing will come to the one who sells it.

For I want very much to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you,

I always thank my God for you because of God's grace given to you in Christ Jesus,
that by Him you were made rich in everything-- in all speaking and all knowledge--
and the grace of our Lord overflowed, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
