If we say, "We have fellowship with Him," and walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth.

If we say, "We have not sinned," we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

You know that He was revealed so that He might take away sins, and there is no sin in Him.

Yes, I know what you've said is true, but how can a person be justified before God?

Who can produce something pure from what is impure? No one!

What is man, that he should be pure, or one born of woman, that he should be righteous?

How can a person be justified before God? How can one born of woman be pure?

Do not bring Your servant into judgment, for no one alive is righteous in Your sight.

Who can say, "I have kept my heart pure; I am cleansed from my sin"?

There is certainly no righteous man on the earth who does good and never sins.
