The men of Ephraim said to him, "Why have you done this to us, not calling us when you went to fight against the Midianites?" And they argued with him violently.

Suddenly, all the men of Israel came to the king. They asked him, "Why did our brothers, the men of Judah, take you away secretly and transport the king and his household across the Jordan, along with all of David's men?"

The men of Israel answered the men of Judah: "We have 10 shares in the king, so we have a greater [claim] to David than you. Why then do you despise us? Weren't we the first to speak of restoring our king?" But the words of the men of Judah were harsher than those of the men of Israel.

In return for my love they accuse me, but I continue to pray.

I saw that all labor and all skillful work is due to a man's jealousy of his friend. This too is futile and a pursuit of the wind.

Jesus replied, "I have shown you many good works from the Father. Which of these works are you stoning Me for?"

On the fourth day they said to Samson's wife, "Persuade your husband to explain the riddle to us, or we will burn you and your father's household to death. Did you invite us here to rob us?"

Then the Philistines asked, "Who did this?" They were told, "[It was] Samson, the Timnite's son-in-law, because he has taken Samson's wife and given her to another man." So the Philistines went to her and her father and burned [them] to death.

A stone is heavy and sand, a burden, but aggravation from a fool outweighs them both.

Fury is cruel, and anger is a flood, but who can withstand jealousy?

For where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil.

What is the source of the wars and the fights among you? Don't they come from the cravings that are at war within you?

You desire and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. You do not have because you do not ask.
