It’s hard to like a hypocrite, right? Someone who says one thing but does another? Jesus wasn’t a fan of hypocrisy either. He spoke of it very harshly. In this message we will take a look at the cost of living a lie and exactly why Jesus would want us to slay the monster of hypocrisy.

There’s one thing everyone on the earth was made to do: worship our Creator. Yet so often, it’s easy for us to sleepwalk through our days and give simple lip service to God. What would it look like if our passion for Him was renewed? Hollow worship is a monster we must deal with if want intimacy with God.

What goes around often comes around. The powerless often find themselves in a position of power and the people who hurt us may someday need us. In the moments when we’ve got those people right where we want ’em, what we say will say as much about us as anything else. If our words are stones, will we choose to throw them, or use them to pave the way forward?

Like a small spark that has the potential to scorch an entire green forest, our tongues are untamable, with the power to control our whole bodies. We have a tool that can be used to build up those around us or tear them down in just a few words. What do we do with that kind of power? We can’t lock it away. But we can, by God’s grace, learn to control it.

We all know what it’s like to be hurt by someone who just couldn’t listen long enough to understand us. Maybe in their attempt to be right, they damaged a relationship that could have been saved with a little patience and curiosity. You’ve probably been on the other side of that coin too. Taking the verbal offense may have won the argument, but you lost relationally. What if we didn’t settle for being right, but tried to make things right instead? The longer we listen, the more we learn, and the better chance we have of protecting ourselves from our own big fat mouths.

In this final message, Lead Pastor Bobby Martin will show us how where we are going has nothing to do with our intentions. But it has everything to do with wisdom and our choice of direction.

What do you do when you are trying to obey God and life is still not going very well? Is it really worth it to serve and obey God? This message will help us discover that God wants more than obedience – He wants our heart. And when our heart isn’t right with God, everything we do will be wrong.

When we’re trying to rebuild or repair something in our lives, sometimes it can be discouraging. We want to give up because it is difficult, it takes so much time, or we don’t see any progress. For five decades, rebuilding God’s temple was all the people of Israel thought about. But when it got difficult, for 14 years they put the project on hold. Instead of working on God’s house, they actually started building their own houses, and they built very, very nice houses. They forgot about God’s house, so God raised up the prophet Haggai to call the people back to rebuild the temple for God. In this opening message we’ll talk about what it takes to stop talking and start rebuilding what’s damaged in our lives.

In this message we will learn what it takes to not only have convictions, but to stand firm in those convictions.
