In the Garden of Eden God warned Adam and Eve about His "No Sin Zone" and they refused to listen. They entered into "The Spin Zone" and you know the rest of the story. Everything starts spinning out of control. This is where we find David at a critical time in his life. We must learn how to face temptation, and what to do when we give in.

The Golden Rule is great. Do unto others as you would have others do to you. That’s great until somebody mistreats you. Then, it’s do unto others as others have done unto you. In this message we learn from King David that the problem with getting even is that it makes you even…with someone you don’t even like.

Loneliness, anger, fear. Those three “giants” have the power to undermine the resolve of even the most dedicated, devout, and disciplined among us. Even though David slew the mighty giant Goliath, he struggled as we all do with anger, isolation, and fear.

Bewildered and confused, they saw, but they did not understand. After all, they were there when he was killed. They watched as his body was carried away to the tomb. With their leader dead and buried, none of them expected anything good to happen on that Sunday. But on that third day, something happened. They discovered an empty tomb, and it is still empty to this day.

Some people grew up with the Bible, their values have been shaped in some way by the principles in it, it’s impacted the way they do things, it determines what makes them feel guilty and what makes them feel good. But they’ve never really read it. We will discover in this message that we would read the Bible more if we understood its purpose and its contents.
