Let the waters
So God blessed them, "Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the waters of the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth."
So the LORD God formed out of the ground each wild animal and each bird of the sky, and brought each to the man to see what he would call it. And whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name.
Bring out every living thing of all flesh that is with you-- birds, livestock, creatures that crawl on the ground-- and they will spread over the earth and be fruitful and multiply on the earth."
How countless are Your works, LORD! In wisdom You have made them all; the earth is full of Your creatures.
Here is the sea, vast and wide, teeming with creatures beyond number-- living things both large and small.
wild animals and all cattle, creatures that crawl and flying birds,
Neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives everyone life and breath and all things.
He described trees, from the cedar in Lebanon to the hyssop growing out of the wall. He also taught about animals, birds, reptiles, and fish.
for all the wildlife of the earth, for every bird of the sky, and for every creature that crawls on the earth-- everything having the breath of life in it. [I have given] every green plant for food." And it was so.
For there is a man whose work was done with wisdom, knowledge, and skill, but he must give his portion to a man who has not worked for it. This too is futile and a great wrong.
So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above the expanse. And it was so.
Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night. They will serve as signs for festivals and for days and years.
