ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_2 16:22-30
22
On the sixth day they gathered twice as much food, four quarts apiece, and all the leaders of the community came and reported [this] to Moses.
23
He told them, "This is what the LORD has said: 'Tomorrow is a day of complete rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD. Bake what you want to bake, and boil what you want to boil, and everything left over set aside to be kept until morning.'"
24
So they set it aside until morning as Moses commanded, and it didn't smell or have any maggots in it.
25
"Eat it today," Moses said, "because today is a Sabbath to the LORD. Today you won't find any in the field.
26
For six days you may gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will be none."
27
Yet on the seventh day some of the people went out to gather, but they did not find any.
28
Then the LORD said to Moses, "How long will you refuse to keep My commands and instructions?
29
Understand that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; therefore on the sixth day He will give you two days' worth of bread. Each of you stay where you are; no one is to leave his place on the seventh day."
30
So the people rested on the seventh day.

8
Remember to dedicate the Sabbath day:
9
You are to labor six days and do all your work,
10
but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. You must not do any work-- you, your son or daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the foreigner who is within your gates.
11
For the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in them in six days; then He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_2 23:12
"Do your work for six days but rest on the seventh day so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your female slave as well as the foreign resident may be refreshed.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_2 31:13-17
13
"Tell the Israelites: You must observe My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you will know that I am the LORD who sets you apart.
14
Observe the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Whoever profanes it must be put to death. If anyone does work on it, that person must be cut off from his people.
15
For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there must be a Sabbath of complete rest, dedicated to the LORD. Anyone who does work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
16
The Israelites must observe the Sabbath, celebrating it throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.
17
It is a sign forever between Me and the Israelites, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed."
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_2 34:21
"You are to labor six days but you must rest on the seventh day; you must even rest during plowing and harvesting times.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_2 35:2
For six days work is to be done, but on the seventh day you are to have a holy day, a Sabbath of complete rest to the LORD. Anyone who does work on it must be executed.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_2 35:3
Do not light a fire in any of your homes on the Sabbath day."
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_3 23:3
"For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there must be a Sabbath of complete rest, a sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; it is a Sabbath to the LORD wherever you live.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_3 25:2
"Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When you enter the land I am giving you, the land will observe a Sabbath to the LORD.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_3 25:3
You may sow your field for six years, and you may prune your vineyard and gather its produce for six years.

12
Be careful to dedicate the Sabbath day, as the LORD your God has commanded you.
13
You are to labor six days and do all your work,
14
but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. You must not do any work-- you, your son or daughter, your male or female slave, your ox or donkey, any of your livestock, or the foreigner who lives within your gates, so that your male and female slaves may rest as you do.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_16 9:14
You revealed Your holy Sabbath to them, and gave them commandments, statutes, and a law through Your servant Moses.

15
At that time I saw people in Judah treading wine presses on the Sabbath. They were also bringing in stores of grain and loading [them] on donkeys, along with wine, grapes, and figs. All kinds of goods were being brought to Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. So I warned [them] against selling food on that day.
16
The Tyrians living there were importing fish and all kinds of merchandise and selling them on the Sabbath to the people of Judah in Jerusalem.
17
I rebuked the nobles of Judah and said to them: "What is this evil you are doing-- profaning the Sabbath day?
18
Didn't your ancestors do the same, so that our God brought all this disaster on us and on this city? And now you are rekindling [His] anger against Israel by profaning the Sabbath!"
19
When shadows began to fall on the gates of Jerusalem just before the Sabbath, I gave orders that the gates be closed and not opened until after the Sabbath. I posted some of my men at the gates, so that no goods could enter during the Sabbath day.
20
Once or twice the merchants and those who sell all kinds of goods camped outside Jerusalem,
21
but I warned them, "Why are you camping in front of the wall? If you do it again, I'll use force against you." After that they did not come again on the Sabbath.
22
Then I instructed the Levites to purify themselves and guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember me for this also, my God, and look on me with compassion in keeping with Your abundant, faithful love.

The LORD's blessing enriches, and struggle adds nothing to it.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_23 56:2-7
2
Happy is the man who does this, anyone who maintains this, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.
3
No foreigner who has converted to the LORD should say, "The LORD will exclude me from His people"; and the eunuch should not say, "Look, I am a dried-up tree."
4
For the LORD says this: "For the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, and choose what pleases Me, and hold firmly to My covenant,
5
I will give them, in My house and within My walls, a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters. I will give each [of them] an everlasting name that will never be cut off.
6
And the foreigners who convert to the LORD, minister to Him, love the LORD's name, and are His servants, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it, and who hold firmly to My covenant--
7
I will bring them to My holy mountain and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar, for My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations."
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_23 58:13
"If you keep from desecrating the Sabbath, from doing whatever you want on My holy day; if you call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy [day] of the LORD honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, seeking your own pleasure, or talking too much;
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_23 58:14
then you will delight yourself in the LORD, and I will make you ride over the heights of the land, and let you enjoy the heritage of your father Jacob." For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_24 17:21-27
21
This is what the LORD says: Watch yourselves; do not pick up a load and bring it in through the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day.
22
You must not carry a load out of your houses on the Sabbath day or do any work, but you must consecrate the Sabbath day, just as I commanded your ancestors.
23
They wouldn't listen or pay attention but became obstinate, not listening or accepting discipline.
24
"However, if you listen to Me, says the LORD, and do not bring loads through the gates of this city on the Sabbath day and consecrate the Sabbath day and do no work on it,
25
kings and princes will enter through the gates of this city. They will sit on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses with their officials, the men of Judah, and the residents of Jerusalem. This city will be inhabited forever.
26
Then [people] will come from the cities of Judah and from the area around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin and from the Judean foothills, from the hill country and from the Negev bringing burnt offerings and sacrifice, grain offerings and frankincense, and thank offerings to the house of the LORD.
27
If you do not listen to Me to consecrate the Sabbath day by not carrying a load while entering the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, I will set fire to its gates, and it will consume the citadels of Jerusalem and not be extinguished."
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_26 20:12
I also gave them My Sabbaths to serve as a sign between Me and them, so they will know that I am the LORD who sets them apart as holy.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_41 2:27
Then He told them, "The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_42 23:56
Then they returned and prepared spices and perfumes. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.

4
for somewhere He has spoken about the seventh day in this way: And on the seventh day God rested from all His works.
5
Again, in that passage [He says], They will never enter My rest.
6
Since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news did not enter because of disobedience,
7
again, He specifies a certain day-- today-- speaking through David after such a long time, as previously stated: Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.
8
For if Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken later about another day.
9
A Sabbath rest remains, therefore, for God's people.
10
For the person who has entered His rest has rested from his own works, just as God did from His.
