unto a cave
The LORD said, "Here is a place near Me. You are to stand on the rock,
and when My glory passes by, I will put you in the crevice of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by.
If only I had a traveler's lodging place in the wilderness, I would abandon my people and depart from them, for they are all adulterers, a solemn assembly of treacherous people.
The world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts, mountains, caves, and holes in the ground.

When Elijah heard [it], he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. Suddenly, a voice came to him and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
So the LORD God called out to the man and said to him, "Where are you?"
He said, "Hagar, slave of Sarai, where have you come from, and where are you going?" She replied, "I'm running away from my mistress Sarai."
Now what will you gain by traveling along the way to Egypt to drink the waters of the Nile? What will you gain by traveling along the way to Assyria to drink the waters of the Euphrates?
However, Jonah got up to flee to Tarshish from the LORD's presence. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. He paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish, from the LORD's presence.
Then the LORD hurled a violent wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose on the sea that the ship threatened to break apart.
