For God speaks time and again, but a person may not notice it.

He uncovers their ears at that time and terrifies them with warnings,

And there are different activities, but the same God is active in everyone and everything.

And the One who prepared us for this very thing is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment.

In Him we were also made His inheritance, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will,

For it is God who is working in you, [enabling you] both to will and to act for His good purpose.

I labor for this, striving with His strength that works powerfully in me.

equip you with all that is good to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

I have spoken once, and I will not reply; twice, but [now] I can add nothing.

Consequently, the king of Israel sent [word] to the place the man of God had told him about. The man of God repeatedly warned the king, so the king would be on his guard.

Concerning this, I pleaded with the Lord three times to take it away from me.
