You must purge from yourselves the guilt of shedding innocent blood, for you will be doing what is right in the LORD's sight.

Manasseh also shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem with it from one end to another. This was in addition to his sin he caused Judah to commit so that they did what was evil in the LORD's sight.

Forge the chain, for the land is filled with crimes of bloodshed, and the city is filled with violence.

You are to say: This is what the Lord God says: A city that sheds blood within her [walls] so that her time of judgment has come and who makes idols for herself so that she is defiled!
