A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
The LORD's curse is on the household of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the righteous;
A righteous man eats until he is satisfied, but the stomach of the wicked is empty.
Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure with turmoil.
Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred.
Better a little with righteousness than great income with injustice.
Otherwise, I might have too much and deny You, saying, "Who is the LORD?" or I might have nothing and steal, profaning the name of my God.
For to the man who is pleasing in His sight, He gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy, but to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and accumulating in order to give to the one who is pleasing in God's sight. This too is futile and a pursuit of the wind.
Better one handful with rest, than two handfuls with effort and pursuit of the wind.
Give us today our daily bread.
But godliness with contentment is a great gain.
