When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
One who isolates himself pursues [selfish] desires; he rebels against all sound judgment.
A fool does not delight in understanding, but only wants to show off his opinions.
Eat honey, my son, for it is good, and the honeycomb is sweet to your palate;
realize that wisdom is the same for you. If you find it, you will have a future, and your hope will never fade.
I have not departed from the commands of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily food.
They are more desirable than gold-- than an abundance of pure gold; and sweeter than honey-- than honey dripping from the comb.
May my meditation be pleasing to Him; I will rejoice in the LORD.
How I love Your teaching! It is my meditation all day long.
How sweet Your word is to my taste-- [sweeter] than honey to my mouth.
I have Your decrees as a heritage forever; indeed, they are the joy of my heart.
I rejoice over Your promise like one who finds vast treasure.
Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words became a delight to me and the joy of my heart, for I am called by Your name, LORD God of Hosts.
Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God.
