listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding;

if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure,

Don't abandon wisdom, and she will watch over you; love her, and she will guard you.

Cherish her, and she will exalt you; if you embrace her, she will honor you.

and say to the Pit: You are my father, and to the worm: My mother or my sister,

If only I could treat you like my brother, one who nursed at my mother's breasts, I would find you in public and kiss you, and no one would scorn me.

And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, "Here are My mother and My brothers!

For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven, that person is My brother and sister and mother."

As He was saying these things, a woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, "The womb that bore You and the one who nursed You are blessed!"

He said, "Even more, those who hear the word of God and keep it are blessed!"
