You planned evil against me; God planned it for good to bring about the present result-- the survival of many people.
Many nations have now assembled against you; they say, "Let her be defiled, and let us feast our eyes on Zion."
But they do not know the LORD's intentions or understand His plan, that He has gathered them like sheaves to the threshing floor.
Though He was delivered up according to God's determined plan and foreknowledge, you used lawless people to nail Him to a cross and kill Him.
For the residents of Jerusalem and their rulers, since they did not recognize Him or the voices of the prophets that are read every Sabbath, have fulfilled their words by condemning Him.
Though they found no grounds for the death penalty, they asked Pilate to have Him killed.
When they had fulfilled all that had been written about Him, they took Him down from the tree and put Him in a tomb.
But God raised Him from the dead,

[Beware] that Hezekiah does not mislead you by saying, 'The LORD will deliver us.' Has any one of the gods of the nations delivered his land from the hand of the king of Assyria?
Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? Have they delivered Samaria from my hand?
Who of all the gods of these lands [ever] delivered his land from my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem?"
Look, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the countries; they destroyed them completely. Will you be rescued?
Did the gods of the nations that my predecessors destroyed rescue them-- Gozan, Haran, Rezeph, and the Edenites in Telassar?
Where is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, the king of the city of Sepharvaim, Hena, or Ivvah?'"
