Say to them: This is what the Lord God says: On the day I chose Israel, I swore an oath to the descendants of Jacob's house and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt. I swore to them, saying: I am the LORD your God.

However, I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land I had given [them]-- the most beautiful of all lands, flowing with milk and honey--

However, I swore to them in the wilderness that I would disperse them among the nations and scatter them among the countries.

When I lead you into the land of Israel, the land I swore to give your fathers, you will know that I am the LORD.

Then the LORD said to Abram, "Know this for certain: Your offspring will be strangers in a land that does not belong to them; they will be enslaved and oppressed 400 years.

However, I will judge the nation they serve, and afterwards they will go out with many possessions.

I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and to bring them from that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey-- the territory of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.

And I have promised you that I will bring you up from the misery of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites-- a land flowing with milk and honey.

Then the LORD spoke to Moses:

Pharaoh will say of the Israelites: They are wandering around the land in confusion; the wilderness has boxed them in.

When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds about the people and said: "What have we done? We have released Israel from serving us."

he took 600 of the best chariots and all the rest of the chariots of Egypt, with officers in each one.

The Egyptians-- all Pharaoh's horses and chariots, his horsemen, and his army-- chased after them and caught up with them as they camped by the sea beside Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon.

They said to Moses: "Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you took us to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?

But Moses said to the people, "Don't be afraid. Stand firm and see the LORD's salvation He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again.

The LORD said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the Israelites to break camp.

For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land with streams of water, springs, and deep water sources, flowing in both valleys and hills;

a land where you will eat food without shortage, where you will lack nothing; a land whose rocks are iron and from whose hills you will mine copper.

But the land you are entering to possess is a land of mountains and valleys, watered by rain from the sky.

It is a land the LORD your God cares for. He is always watching over it from the beginning to the end of the year.

When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance and divided the human race, He set the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the people of Israel.

When the LORD brings you into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which He swore to your fathers that He would give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, you must carry out this ritual in this month.

[Go up] to a land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you because you are a stiff-necked people; otherwise, I might destroy you on the way."

And I promised you: You will inherit their land, since I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the LORD your God who set you apart from the peoples.

They reported to Moses: "We went into the land where you sent us. Indeed it is flowing with milk and honey, and here is some of its fruit.

If the LORD is pleased with us, He will bring us into this land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and give it to us.

Listen, Israel, and be careful to follow [them], so that you may prosper and multiply greatly, because the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you a land flowing with milk and honey.

and so that you may live long in the land the LORD swore to your fathers to give them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey.

He led us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Look down from Your holy dwelling, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land You have given us as You swore to our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Write all the words of this law on the stones after you cross to enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.

When I bring them into the land I swore to [give] their fathers, [a land] flowing with milk and honey, they will eat their fill and prosper. They will turn to other gods and worship them, despising Me and breaking My covenant.

He made him ride on the heights of the land and eat the produce of the field. He nourished him with honey from the rock and oil from flintlike rock,

cream from the herd and milk from the flock, with the fat of lambs, rams from Bashan, and goats, with the choicest grains of wheat; you drank wine from the finest grapes.

For the Israelites wandered in the wilderness 40 years until all the nation's men of war who came out of Egypt had died off because they did not obey the LORD. So the LORD vowed never to let them see the land He had sworn to their fathers to give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.

in order to establish the oath I swore to your ancestors, to give [them] a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is today." I answered, " Amen, LORD."

You gave them this land You swore [to give] to their ancestors, a land flowing with milk and honey.

However, I swore to them in the wilderness that I would not bring them into the land I had given [them]-- the most beautiful of all lands, flowing with milk and honey--

rising splendidly, is the joy of the whole earth. Mount Zion on the slopes of the north is the city of the great King.

From one of them a little horn emerged and grew extensively toward the south and the east and toward the beautiful land.

The king of the North who comes against him will do whatever he wants, and no one can oppose him. He will establish himself in the beautiful landwith total destruction in his hand.

He will also invade the beautiful land, and many will fall. But these will escape from his power: Edom, Moab, and the prominent people of the Ammonites.

"I scattered them with a windstorm over all the nations that had not known them, and the land was left desolate behind them, with no one coming or going. They turned a pleasant land into a desolation."
