ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_28 9:1-5
1
Israel, do not rejoice jubilantly as the nations do, for you have acted promiscuously, leaving your God. You have loved the wages of a prostitute on every grain-threshing floor.
2
Threshing floor and wine vat will not sustain them, and the new wine will fail them.
3
They will not stay in the land of the LORD. Instead, Ephraim will return to Egypt, and they will eat unclean food in Assyria.
4
They will not pour out their wine offerings to the LORD, and their sacrifices will not please Him. Their [food] will be like the bread of mourners; all who eat it become defiled. For their bread will be for their appetites [alone]; it will not enter the house of the LORD.
5
What will you do on a festival day, on the day of the LORD's feast?
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_23 24:7-11
7
The new wine mourns; the vine withers. All the carousers now groan.
8
The joyful tambourines have ceased. The noise of the jubilant has stopped. The joyful lyre has ceased.
9
They no longer sing and drink wine; beer is bitter to those who drink it.
10
The city of chaos is shattered; every house is closed to entry.
11
In the streets they cry for wine. All joy grows dark; earth's rejoicing goes into exile.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_24 7:34
I will remove from the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem the sound of joy and gladness and the voices of the bridegroom and the bride, for the land will become a desolate waste.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_24 16:9
For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: I am about to eliminate from this place, before your very eyes and in your time, the sound of joy and gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the bride.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_24 25:10
I will eliminate the sound of joy and gladness from them-- the voice of the bridegroom and the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_26 26:13
I will put an end to the noise of your songs, and the sound of your lyres will no longer be heard.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_34 1:10
For they will be consumed like entangled thorns, like a drunkard's drink, and like straw that is fully dry.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_66 18:22
The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters will never be heard in you again; no craftsman of any trade will ever be found in you again; the sound of a mill will never be heard in you again;
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_66 18:23
the light of a lamp will never shine in you again; and the voice of a groom and bride will never be heard in you again. [All this will happen] because your merchants were the nobility of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery,
her feast
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_11 12:32
Jeroboam made a festival in the eighth month on the fifteenth day of the month, like the festival in Judah. He offered sacrifices on the altar; he made this offering in Bethel to sacrifice to the calves he had set up. He also stationed in Bethel the priests for the high places he had set up.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_23 1:13
Stop bringing useless offerings. I despise [your] incense. New Moons and Sabbaths, and the calling of solemn assemblies-- I cannot stand iniquity with a festival.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_23 1:14
I hate your New Moons and prescribed festivals. They have become a burden to Me; I am tired of putting up with [them].
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_30 5:21
I hate, I despise your feasts! I can't stand the stench of your solemn assemblies.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_30 8:3
In that day the temple songs will become wailing"-- the Lord GOD's declaration. "Many dead bodies, thrown everywhere! Silence!"
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_30 8:5
asking, "When will the New Moon be over so we may sell grain, and the Sabbath, so we may market wheat? We can reduce the measure while increasing the price and cheat with dishonest scales.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_30 8:9
And in that day-- [this is] the declaration of the Lord God-- I will make the sun go down at noon; I will darken the land in the daytime.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_30 8:10
I will turn your feasts into mourning and all your songs into lamentation; I will cause everyone to wear sackcloth and every head to be shaved. I will make that grief like mourning for an only son and its outcome like a bitter day.
