I will sow
May there be plenty of grain in the land; may it wave on the tops of the mountains. May its crops be like Lebanon. May people flourish in the cities like the grass of the field.
"The days are coming"-- [this is] the LORD's declaration-- "when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and the seed of beast.
Though I sow them among the nations, they will remember Me in the distant lands; they and their children will live and return.
Saul agreed with putting him to death. On that day a severe persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout the land of Judea and Samaria.
But devout men buried Stephen and mourned deeply over him.
Saul, however, was ravaging the church, and he would enter house after house, drag off men and women, and put them in prison.
So those who were scattered went on their way proclaiming the message of good news.
James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ: To the 12 tribes in the Dispersion. Greetings.
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ: To the temporary residents of the Dispersion in the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, chosen
according to the foreknowledge of God the Father and set apart by the Spirit for obedience and [for the] sprinkling with the blood of Jesus Christ. May grace and peace be multiplied to you.
and I will have
She conceived again and gave birth to a daughter, and the LORD said to him: Name her No Compassion, for I will no longer have compassion on the house of Israel. I will certainly take them away.
As you once disobeyed God, but now have received mercy through their disobedience,
so they too have now disobeyed, [resulting] in mercy to you, so that they also now may receive mercy.
For God has imprisoned all in disobedience, so that He may have mercy on all.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
and I will say
Yet the number of the Israelites will be like the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or counted. And in the place where they were told: You are not My people, they will be called: Sons of the living God.
"Many nations will join themselves to the LORD on that day and become My people. I will dwell among you, and you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent Me to you.
I will put this third through the fire; I will refine them as silver is refined and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say: They are My people, and they will say: The LORD is our God."
As He also says in Hosea: I will call "Not-My-People," "My-People," and she who is "Unloved," "Beloved."
And it will be in the place where they were told, you are not My people, there they will be called sons of the living God.
Thou art my God
Israel cries out to Me: My God, we know You!
Today you have affirmed that the LORD is your God and that you will walk in His ways, keep His statutes, commands, and ordinances, and obey Him.
And today the LORD has affirmed that you are His special people as He promised you, that you are to keep all His commands,
that He will put you far above all the nations He has made in praise, fame, and glory, and that you will be a holy people to the LORD your God as He promised."
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD. All the families of the nations will bow down before You,
Ambassadors will come from Egypt; Cush will stretch out its hands to God.
You are my God, and I will give You thanks. [You are] my God; I will exalt You.
My love is mine and I am his; he feeds among the lilies.
This one will say: I am the LORD's; another will call [himself] by the name of Jacob; still another will write on his hand: The LORD's, and name [himself] by the name of Israel."
LORD, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in a time of distress, the nations will come to You from the ends of the earth, and they will say, "Our fathers inherited only lies, worthless idols of no benefit at all."
They will be My people, and I will be their God.
Many peoples and strong nations will come to seek the LORD of Hosts in Jerusalem and to plead for the LORD's favor."
The LORD of Hosts says this: "In those days, 10 men from nations of every language will grab the robe of a Jewish man tightly, urging: Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you."
On that day Yahweh will become king over all the earth-- Yahweh alone, and His name alone.
Then all the survivors from the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD of Hosts, and to celebrate the Festival of Booths.
"For My name will be great among the nations, from the rising of the sun to its setting. Incense and pure offerings will be presented in My name in every place because My name will be great among the nations," says the LORD of Hosts.
Or is God for Jews only? Is He not also for Gentiles? Yes, for Gentiles too,
and so that Gentiles may glorify God for His mercy. As it is written: Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles, and I will sing psalms to Your name.
Again it says: Rejoice, you Gentiles, with His people!
And again: Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; all the peoples should praise Him!
For they themselves report about us what kind of reception we had from you: how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,
and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead-- Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.
Then I heard a loud voice from the throne: Look! God's dwelling is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will exist no longer; grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer, because the previous things have passed away.
