Righteous Father! The world has not known You. However, I have known You, and these have known that You sent Me.

Then they asked Him, "Where is Your Father?" "You know neither Me nor My Father," Jesus answered. "If you knew Me, you would also know My Father."

"If I glorify Myself," Jesus answered, "My glory is nothing. My Father-- you say about Him, 'He is our God.'-- He is the One who glorifies Me.

You've never known Him, but I know Him. If I were to say I don't know Him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know Him, and I keep His word.

"As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

Those who know Your name trust in You because You have not abandoned those who seek You, LORD.

He will see [it] out of His anguish, and He will be satisfied with His knowledge. My righteous servant will justify many, and He will carry their iniquities.

This is what the LORD says: The wise must not boast in his wisdom; the mighty must not boast in his might; the rich must not boast in his riches.

But the one who boasts should boast in this, that he understands and knows Me-- that I am the LORD, showing faithful love, justice, and righteousness on the earth, for I delight in these things. [This is] the LORD's declaration.

"Instead, this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days"-- the LORD's declaration. "I will place My law within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.

No longer will one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying: Know the LORD, for they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest of them"-- the LORD's declaration. "For I will forgive their wrongdoing and never again remember their sin."

Let us strive to know the LORD. His appearance is as sure as the dawn. He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the land.

Become right-minded and stop sinning, because some people are ignorant about God. I say this to your shame.

For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness"-- He has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God's glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

taking vengeance with flaming fire on those who don't know God and on those who don't obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

And each person will not teach his fellow citizen, and each his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know Me, from the least to the greatest of them.

For I will be merciful to their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins."

We are from God. Anyone who knows God listens to us; anyone who is not from God does not listen to us. From this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception.

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true One. We are in the true One-- that is, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

Jesus said to him, "Have I been among you all this time without your knowing Me, Philip? The one who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I speak to you I do not speak on My own. The Father who lives in Me does His works.

For many years Israel has been without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law,

But the LORD is the true God; He is the living God and eternal King. The earth quakes at His wrath, and the nations cannot endure His rage.

About eating food offered to idols, then, we know that "an idol is nothing in the world," and that "there is no God but one."

For they themselves report about us what kind of reception we had from you: how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,

which God will bring about in His own time. [He is] the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords,

the only One who has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom none of mankind has seen or can see, to whom be honor and eternal might. Amen.

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true One. We are in the true One-- that is, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

For God sent Him, and He speaks God's words, since He gives the Spirit without measure.

"But I have a greater testimony than John's because of the works that the Father has given Me to accomplish. These very works I am doing testify about Me that the Father has sent Me.

The Father who sent Me has Himself testified about Me. You have not heard His voice at any time, and you haven't seen His form.

Don't work for the food that perishes but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal of approval on Him."

Jesus replied, "This is the work of God: that you believe in the One He has sent."

I know Him because I am from Him, and He sent Me."

do you say, 'You are blaspheming' to the One the Father set apart and sent into the world, because I said: I am the Son of God?

I know that You always hear Me, but because of the crowd standing here I said this, so they may believe You sent Me."

For I have not spoken on My own, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a command as to what I should say and what I should speak.

I know that His command is eternal life. So the things that I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me."

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit-- the Father will send Him in My name-- will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.

Approach Me and listen to this. From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time anything existed, I was there." And now the Lord God has sent me and His Spirit.

The Spirit of the Lord God is on Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and freedom to the prisoners;

"Whoever welcomes one little child such as this in My name welcomes Me. And whoever welcomes Me does not welcome Me, but Him who sent Me."

He told them, "Whoever welcomes this little child in My name welcomes Me. And whoever welcomes Me welcomes Him who sent Me. For whoever is least among you-- this one is great."

And we have seen and we testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God-- God remains in him and he in God.

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

The one who has the Son has life. The one who doesn't have the Son of God does not have life.
