Then the Jews said, "Now we know You have a demon. Abraham died and so did the prophets. You say, 'If anyone keeps My word, he will never taste death-- ever!'

You call Me Teacher and Lord. This is well said, for I am.

Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said:

You believe that God is one; you do well. The demons also believe-- and they shudder.

"How is it that You, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" she asked Him. For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.

"You have a demon!" the crowd responded. "Who wants to kill You?"

Many of them were saying, "He has a demon and He's crazy! Why do you listen to Him?"

This is what the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One says to one who is despised, to one abhorred by people, to a servant of rulers: "Kings will see and stand up, and princes will bow down, because of the LORD, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel-- and He has chosen you."

He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering who knew what sickness was. He was like one people turned away from; He was despised, and we didn't value Him.

It is enough for a disciple to become like his teacher and a slave like his master. If they called the head of the house ' Beelzebul,' how much more the members of his household!

When the Pharisees heard this, they said, "The man drives out demons only by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons."

Because of this, I tell you, people will be forgiven every sin and blasphemy, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

For even the Messiah did not please Himself. On the contrary, as it is written, The insults of those who insult You have fallen on Me.

Let us then go to Him outside the camp, bearing His disgrace.
