When Jesus turned and noticed them following Him, He asked them, "What are you looking for?" They said to Him, "Rabbi" (which means "Teacher"), "where are You staying?"
"Come and you'll see," He replied. So they went and saw where He was staying, and they stayed with Him that day. It was about 10 in the morning.
Then Jesus, knowing everything that was about to happen to Him, went out and said to them, "Who is it you're looking for?"
"Jesus the Nazarene," they answered. "I am He," Jesus told them. Judas, who betrayed Him, was also standing with them.
When He told them, "I am He," they stepped back and fell to the ground.
Then He asked them again, "Who is it you're looking for?" "Jesus the Nazarene," they said.
"I told you I am [He]," Jesus replied. "So if you're looking for Me, let these men go."
That's why I came without any objection when I was sent for. So I ask, 'Why did you send for me?'"
Then Jesus answered him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" "Rabbouni," the blind man told Him, "I want to see!"
