God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the Elijah section-- how he pleads with God against Israel?

Moses said to the LORD, "Look, You have told me, 'Lead this people up,' but You have not let me know whom You will send with me. You said, 'I know you by name, and you have also found favor in My sight.'

The LORD answered Moses, "I will do this very thing you have asked, for you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name."

For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to ruin.

I chose you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart before you were born. I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

Then I will announce to them, 'I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!'

Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, having this inscription: The Lord knows those who are His, and Everyone who names the name of the Lord must turn away from unrighteousness.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father and set apart by the Spirit for obedience and [for the] sprinkling with the blood of Jesus Christ. May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

All those who live on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name was not written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered.

He predestined us to be adopted through Jesus Christ for Himself, according to His favor and will,

In Him we were also made His inheritance, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will,

He was destined before the foundation of the world, but was revealed at the end of the times for you

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no plans to satisfy the fleshly desires.

They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

I sanctify Myself for them, so they also may be sanctified by the truth.

I have given them the glory You have given Me. May they be one as We are one.

I am in them and You are in Me. May they be made completely one, so the world may know You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me.

I made Your name known to them and will make it known, so the love You have loved Me with may be in them and I may be in them.

And just as we have borne the image of the man made of dust, we will also bear the image of the heavenly man.

We all, with unveiled faces, are reflecting the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.

for He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love

you put on the new man, the one created according to God's [likeness] in righteousness and purity of the truth.

He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of His glorious body, by the power that enables Him to subject everything to Himself.

Dear friends, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him as He is.

I will also make him My firstborn, greatest of the kings of the earth.

For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven, that person is My brother and sister and mother."

"And the King will answer them, 'I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.'

"Don't cling to Me," Jesus told her, "for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to My brothers and tell them that I am ascending to My Father and your Father-- to My God and your God."

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation;

He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together.

For to which of the angels did He ever say, You are My Son; today I have become Your Father, or again, I will be His Father, and He will be My Son?

When He again brings His firstborn into the world, He says, And all God's angels must worship Him.

For the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why He is not ashamed to call them brothers,

Again, I will trust in Him. And again, Here I am with the children God gave Me.

and free those who were held in slavery all their lives by the fear of death.

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has set us free from our sins by His blood,

and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father-- to Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
