Therefore, anyone of you who judges is without excuse. For when you judge another, you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the same things.

He has told you men what is good and what it is the LORD requires of you: Only to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.

For you, wife, how do you know whether you will save your husband? Or you, husband, how do you know whether you will save your wife?

Foolish man! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?

Why do you take Him to court for not answering anything a person asks?

Who has appointed His way for Him, and who has declared, "You have done wrong"?

Who is this who obscures [My] counsel with ignorant words?

Get ready to answer Me like a man; when I question you, you will inform Me.

Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct [Him]? Let him who argues with God give an answer.

I have spoken once, and I will not reply; twice, but [now] I can add nothing.

Would you really challenge My justice? Would you declare Me guilty to justify yourself?

I know that You can do anything and no plan of Yours can be thwarted.

[You said,] "Listen now, and I will speak. When I question you, you will inform Me."

Therefore I take back [my words] and repent in dust and ashes.

Don't I have the right to do what I want with my business? Are you jealous because I'm generous?'

Is there [no] end to your empty words? What provokes you that you continue testifying?

Slaves are to be submissive to their masters in everything, and to be well-pleasing, not talking back

Where is the philosopher? Where is the scholar? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn't God made the world's wisdom foolish?

and constant disagreement among men whose minds are depraved and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a way to material gain.

You have turned things around, as if the potter were the same as the clay. How can what is made say about its maker, "He didn't make me"? How can what is formed say about the one who formed it, "He doesn't understand [what he's doing]"?

"Woe to the one who argues with his Maker-- one clay pot among many. Does clay say to the one forming it: What are you making? Or does your work [say]: He has no hands?

This is what the LORD, the Holy One of Israel and its Maker, says: "Ask Me what is to happen to My sons, and instruct Me about the work of My hands.
