"Every person, whether the native or the foreigner, who eats an animal that died a natural death or was mauled by wild beasts is to wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will remain unclean until evening; he will be clean.

He must not eat an animal that died naturally or was mauled by wild beasts, making himself unclean by it; I am the LORD.

But I said, "Ah, Lord God, I have never been defiled. From my youth until now I have not eaten anything that died naturally or was mauled by wild beasts. And impure meat has never entered my mouth."

but instead we should write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from eating anything that has been strangled, and from blood.

The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "This is the statute of the Passover: no foreigner may eat it.

A temporary resident or hired hand may not eat the Passover.

"When a foreigner lives with you in your land, you must not oppress him.

You must regard the foreigner who lives with you as the native-born among you. You are to love him as yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt; I am the LORD your God.

for you are a holy people belonging to the LORD your God. The LORD has chosen you to be His special people out of all the peoples on the face of the earth.

His power will be great, but it will not be his own. He will cause terrible destruction and succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy the powerful along with the holy people.

Then I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river. He raised both his hands toward heaven and swore by Him who lives eternally that it would be for a time, times, and half [a time]. When the power of the holy people is shattered, all these things will be completed.

for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.

"Bring the best of the firstfruits of your land to the house of the LORD your God. "You must not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.

"Bring the best firstfruits of your land to the house of the LORD your God. "You must not boil a young goat in its mother's milk."

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
