Therefore, my brothers, you also were put to death in relation to the law through the [crucified] body of the Messiah, so that you may belong to another-- to Him who was raised from the dead-- that we may bear fruit for God.

He did away with the law of the commandments in regulations, so that He might create in Himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace.

[He did this so] that He might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross and put the hostility to death by it.

By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all.

by the new and living way that He has inaugurated for us, through the curtain (that is, His flesh);

in holiness and righteousness in His presence all our days.

For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy, because I have promised you in marriage to one husband-- to present a pure virgin to Christ.

for He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love

He did this to present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and blameless.

For God has not called us to impurity, but to sanctification.

He gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for Himself a special people, eager to do good works.

Therefore, dear friends, while you wait for these things, make every effort to be found in peace without spot or blemish before Him.

Now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of His glory, blameless and with great joy,

If God puts no trust in His holy ones and the heavens are not pure in His sight,

If even the moon does not shine and the stars are not pure in His sight,

Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

equip you with all that is good to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
