Until I come, give your attention to public reading, exhortation, and teaching.
If anyone is hungry, he should eat at home, so that you can come together and not cause judgment. And I will give instructions about the other matters whenever I come.
I will come to you after I pass through Macedonia-- for I will be traveling through Macedonia--
and perhaps I will remain with you, or even spend the winter, that you may send me on my way wherever I go.
I don't want to see you now just in passing, for I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord allows.
In this confidence, I planned to come to you first, so you could have a double benefit,
and to go on to Macedonia with your help, then come to you again from Macedonia and be given a start by you on my journey to Judea.
So when I planned this, was I irresponsible? Or what I plan, do I plan in a purely human way so that I say "Yes, yes" and "No, no" [simultaneously]?
So we wanted to come to you-- even I, Paul, time and again-- but Satan hindered us.
But meanwhile, also prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
Be aware that our brother Timothy has been released. If he comes soon enough, he will be with me when I see you.
Though I have many things to write to you, I don't want to do so with paper and ink. Instead, I hope to be with you and talk face to face so that our joy may be complete.
I hope to see you soon, and we will talk face to face. Peace be with you. The friends send you greetings. Greet the friends by name.
