therefore
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_46 4:9-13
9
For I think God has displayed us, the apostles, in last place, like men condemned to die: we have become a spectacle to the world and to angels and to men.
10
We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored!
11
Up to the present hour we are both hungry and thirsty; we are poorly clothed, roughly treated, homeless;
12
we labor, working with our own hands. When we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;
13
when we are slandered, we entreat. We are, even now, like the world's garbage, like the filth of all things.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_47 4:8-10
8
We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair;
9
we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed.
10
We always carry the death of Jesus in our body, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_47 6:3-10
3
We give no opportunity for stumbling to anyone, so that the ministry will not be blamed.
4
But in everything, as God's ministers, we commend ourselves: by great endurance, by afflictions, by hardship, by pressures,
5
by beatings, by imprisonments, by riots, by labors, by sleepless nights, by times of hunger,
6
by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,
7
by the message of truth, by the power of God; through weapons of righteousness on the right hand and the left,
8
through glory and dishonor, through slander and good report; as deceivers yet true;
9
as unknown yet recognized; as dying and look-- we live; as being chastened yet not killed;
10
as grieving yet always rejoicing; as poor yet enriching many; as having nothing yet possessing everything.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_47 11:23-27
23
Are they servants of Christ? I'm talking like a madman-- I'm a better one: with far more labors, many more imprisonments, far worse beatings, near death many times.
24
Five times I received from the Jews 40 lashes minus one.
25
Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. I have spent a night and a day in the depths of the sea.
26
On frequent journeys, [I faced] dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my own people, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the open country, dangers on the sea, and dangers among false brothers;
27
labor and hardship, many sleepless nights, hunger and thirst, often without food, cold, and lacking clothing.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_55 2:9
For this I suffer, to the point of being bound like a criminal; but God's message is not bound.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_55 2:10
This is why I endure all things for the elect: so that they also may obtain salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_55 3:10-12
10
But you have followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, and endurance,
11
along with the persecutions and sufferings that came to me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. What persecutions I endured! Yet the Lord rescued me from them all.
12
In fact, all those who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_58 11:26
For he considered reproach for the sake of the Messiah to be greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, since his attention was on the reward.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_58 13:13
Let us then go to Him outside the camp, bearing His disgrace.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_60 4:14
If you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_60 4:15
None of you, however, should suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a meddler.
because
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_54 6:17
Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God, who richly provides us with all things to enjoy.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_19 37:40
The LORD helps and delivers them; He will deliver them from the wicked and will save them because they take refuge in Him.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_19 52:8
But I am like a flourishing olive tree in the house of God; I trust in God's faithful love forever and ever.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_19 84:12
LORD of Hosts, happy is the person who trusts in You!
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_19 118:8
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_23 12:2
Indeed, God is my salvation. I will trust [Him] and not be afraid. Because Yah, the LORD, is my strength and my song, He has become my salvation."
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_23 50:10
Who among you fears the LORD, listening to the voice of His servant? Who [among you] walks in darkness, and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD; let him lean on his God.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_24 17:7
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence indeed is the LORD.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_27 3:28
Nebuchadnezzar exclaimed, "Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent His angel and rescued His servants who trusted in Him. They violated the king's command and risked their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_34 1:7
The LORD is good, a stronghold in a day of distress; He cares for those who take refuge in Him.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_40 27:43
He has put His trust in God; let God rescue Him now-- if He wants Him! For He said, 'I am God's Son.'"
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_45 15:12
And again, Isaiah says: The root of Jesse will appear, the One who rises to rule the Gentiles; in Him the Gentiles will hope.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_45 15:13
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_60 1:21
who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
the living
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_54 3:15
But if I should be delayed, [I have written] so that you will know how people ought to act in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
the saviour
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_54 2:4
who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_54 2:6
who gave Himself-- a ransom for all, a testimony at the proper time.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_19 36:6
Your righteousness is like the highest mountain; Your judgments, like the deepest sea. LORD, You preserve man and beast.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_19 107:2
Let the redeemed of the LORD proclaim that He has redeemed them from the hand of the foe
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_19 107:6-43
6
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He rescued them from their distress.
7
He led them by the right path to go to a city where they could live.
8
Let them give thanks to the LORD for His faithful love and His wonderful works for the human race.
9
For He has satisfied the thirsty and filled the hungry with good things.
10
Others sat in darkness and gloom-- prisoners in cruel chains--
11
because they rebelled against God's commands and despised the counsel of the Most High.
12
He broke their spirits with hard labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help.
13
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them from their distress.
14
He brought them out of darkness and gloom and broke their chains apart.
15
Let them give thanks to the LORD for His faithful love and His wonderful works for the human race.
16
For He has broken down the bronze gates and cut through the iron bars.
17
Fools suffered affliction because of their rebellious ways and their sins.
18
They loathed all food and came near the gates of death.
19
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble; He saved them from their distress.
20
He sent His word and healed them; He rescued them from the Pit.
21
Let them give thanks to the LORD for His faithful love and His wonderful works for the human race.
22
Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and announce His works with shouts of joy.
23
Others went to sea in ships, conducting trade on the vast waters.
24
They saw the LORD's works, His wonderful works in the deep.
25
He spoke and raised a tempest that stirred up the waves of the sea.
26
Rising up to the sky, sinking down to the depths, their courage melting away in anguish,
27
they reeled and staggered like drunken men, and all their skill was useless.
28
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress.
29
He stilled the storm to a murmur, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
30
They rejoiced when the waves grew quiet. Then He guided them to the harbor they longed for.
31
Let them give thanks to the LORD for His faithful love and His wonderful works for the human race.
32
Let them exalt Him in the assembly of the people and praise Him in the council of the elders.
33
He turns rivers into desert, springs of water into thirsty ground,
34
and fruitful land into salty wasteland, because of the wickedness of its inhabitants.
35
He turns a desert into a pool of water, dry land into springs of water.
36
He causes the hungry to settle there, and they establish a city where they can live.
37
They sow fields and plant vineyards that yield a fruitful harvest.
38
He blesses them, and they multiply greatly; He does not let their livestock decrease.
39
When they are diminished and are humbled by cruel oppression and sorrow,
40
He pours contempt on nobles and makes them wander in trackless wastelands.
41
But He lifts the needy out of their suffering and makes their families [multiply] like flocks.
42
The upright see it and rejoice, and all injustice shuts its mouth.
43
Let whoever is wise pay attention to these things and consider the LORD's acts of faithful love.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_23 45:21
Speak up and present [your case]-- yes, let them take counsel together. Who predicted this long ago? Who announced it from ancient times? Was it not I, the LORD? There is no other God but Me, a righteous God and Savior; there is no one except Me.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_23 45:22
Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth. For I am God, and there is no other.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_43 1:29
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Here is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.
16
"For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
17
For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_62 2:2
He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_62 4:14
And we have seen and we testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world.

ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_43 5:24
"I assure you: Anyone who hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.
ZEFANIABIBLE_BIBLE_BOOK_NAME_62 5:10-13
10
(The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. The one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given about His Son.)
11
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
12
The one who has the Son has life. The one who doesn't have the Son of God does not have life.
13
I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
