So Jesus has also become the guarantee of a better covenant.

But Jesus has now obtained a superior ministry, and to that degree He is the mediator of a better covenant, which has been legally enacted on better promises.

But finding fault with His people, He says: "Look, the days are coming," says the Lord, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah--

For there is one God and one mediator between God and man, a man, Christ Jesus,

Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus-- the great Shepherd of the sheep-- with the blood of the everlasting covenant,

Pay attention and come to Me; listen, so that you will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the promises assured to David.

"Look, the days are coming"-- [this is] the LORD's declaration-- "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

"Instead, this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days"-- the LORD's declaration. "I will place My law within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be My people.

Therefore He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance, because a death has taken place for redemption from the transgressions [committed] under the first covenant.

For this is My blood [that establishes] the covenant; it is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins.

He said to them, "This is My blood [that establishes] the covenant; it is shed for many.

In the same way He also took the cup after supper and said, "This cup is the new covenant [established by] My blood; it is shed for you.

In the same way, he sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of worship with blood.

let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled [clean] from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.

By faith he instituted the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them.

Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said, "This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you concerning all these words."

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father and set apart by the Spirit for obedience and [for the] sprinkling with the blood of Jesus Christ. May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain [did]. By this he was approved as a righteous man, because God approved his gifts, and even though he is dead, he still speaks through this.

Then He said, "What have you done? Your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground!

So all the righteous blood shed on the earth will be charged to you, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar.

from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. "Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible.
