Then he went on to Derbe and Lystra, where there was a disciple named Timothy, the son of a believing Jewish woman, but his father was a Greek.
The brothers at Lystra and Iconium spoke highly of him.
Paul wanted Timothy to go with him, so he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, since they all knew that his father was a Greek.
And we sent Timothy, our brother and God's co-worker in the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you concerning your faith,
Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy, our brother: To Philemon, our dear friend and co-worker,
Fight the good fight for the faith; take hold of eternal life, to which you were called and have made a good confession before many witnesses.
So don't be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, or of me His prisoner. Instead, share in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power of God,
I said to him, "Sir, you know." Then he told me: These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Now, however, I am traveling to Jerusalem to serve the saints;
So when I have finished this and safely delivered the funds to them, I will go by way of you to Spain.
But meanwhile, also prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
