You love Him, though you have not seen Him. And though not seeing Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy,
What makes the one you love better than another, most beautiful of women? What makes him better than another, that you would give us this charge?
My love is fit and strong, notable among ten thousand.
His head is purest gold. His hair is wavy and black as a raven.
His eyes are like doves beside streams of water, washed in milk and set like jewels.
His cheeks are like beds of spice, towers of perfume. His lips are lilies, dripping with flowing myrrh.
His arms are rods of gold set with topaz. His body is an ivory panel covered with sapphires.
His legs are alabaster pillars set on pedestals of pure gold. His presence is like Lebanon, as majestic as the cedars.
His mouth is sweetness. He is absolutely desirable. This is my love, and this is my friend, young women of Jerusalem.
I will shake all the nations so that the treasures of all the nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory," says the LORD of Hosts.
"The kingdom of heaven is like treasure, buried in a field, that a man found and reburied. Then in his joy he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field.
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls.
When he found one priceless pearl, he went and sold everything he had, and bought it.
And they told the woman, "We no longer believe because of what you said, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this really is the Savior of the world."
Simon Peter answered, "Lord, who will we go to? You have the words of eternal life.
We have come to believe and know that You are the Holy One of God!"
But everything that was a gain to me, I have considered to be a loss because of Christ.
More than that, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of Him I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them filth, so that I may gain Christ
and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ-- the righteousness from God based on faith.
[My goal] is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
On that day the LORD of Hosts will become a crown of beauty and a diadem of splendor to the remnant of His people,
a light for revelation to the Gentiles and glory to Your people Israel.
A stone that causes men to stumble, and a rock that trips them up. They stumble by disobeying the message; they were destined for this.
"Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.
But to Israel he says: All day long I have spread out My hands to a disobedient and defiant people.
that I may be rescued from the unbelievers in Judea, that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,
For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, captives of various passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.
Let us then make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall into the same pattern of disobedience.
By faith Rahab the prostitute received the spies in peace and didn't perish with those who disobeyed.
The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
This came from the LORD; it is wonderful in our eyes.
Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This came from the Lord and is wonderful in our eyes?
Haven't you read this Scripture: The stone that the builders rejected-- this has become the cornerstone.
This came from the Lord and is wonderful in our eyes?"
But He looked at them and said, "Then what is the meaning of this Scripture: The stone that the builders rejected-- this has become the cornerstone?
This [Jesus] is The stone despised by you builders, who has become the cornerstone.
There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved."
'What are you, great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain. And he will bring out the capstone accompanied by shouts of: Grace, grace to it!'"
and you have been filled by Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
