Contemptible people among them had a strong craving [for other food]. The Israelites cried again and said, "Who will feed us meat?

So they named that place Kibroth-hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had craved [the meat].

They deliberately tested God, demanding the food they craved.

They were seized with craving in the wilderness and tested God in the desert.

Now these things became examples for us, so that we will not desire evil as they did.

You desire and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. You do not have because you do not ask.

the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one's lifestyle-- is not from the Father, but is from the world.

And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does God's will remains forever.
