Did Jesus ever get tired? Yes, He did, just as we all do. Even though he was perfect, His body still needed rest. The attention from the crowds kept him busy. When he healed people, it cost him strength and energy. We can identify with the heart of Jesus when we pull away now and then to rest in and commune quietly with our Heavenly Father.

Anxiety. It can be physiological, it can be emotional, it can be situational, it can even be spiritual. And when we feel anxious, we ask questions like: Am I failing God? Have I let God down? Is it a sin to be anxious? We do know that hours before He was crucified, Jesus felt overwhelming anxiety. His response may help us find relief from what we are feeling in our troubled heart.

What do you do with feelings of anger? Anger can very quickly lead to unproductive and very destructive sin, but is the emotion of anger in and of itself, a sin? It could be that many relationships today are hurting because people are letting their anger drive them to sin. In this message we’ll discover how Jesus dealt with anger and how we can be angry in a way that honors God.

Passage: Luke 7:11
Jesus was God in the flesh and yet He was a human being and He expressed and felt very real emotions. He felt anxiety, anger, compassion, and profound sadness. One writer has said that in the four Gospels Jesus expressed 39 emotions. God has given us those same emotions and by looking at Jesus and how He faced them can help us in how we respond and react when we are hurt.

Perhaps our definition of worship is out of whack. When we learn what it really is, there is so much we can benefit from it.

Everyone has a passion. Be it sports, classic cars, antiques, shopping, clothes, or whatever, we were made to give ourselves fully to things. Could it be, though, that some of us have misplaced our passion? Perhaps we have gotten so passionate about all these other things that maybe, just maybe, we’ve missed the main thing.

Passage: & Revelation 21:1
Series: Afterlife
Surprisingly, Jesus said very little about heaven. He spoke more about eternal life and how one can enter heaven than He did about the place of heaven. Although the details are incomplete, it is probably because a full understanding of heaven would make it difficult to concentrate on the responsibilities God has given us on earth. Yet the Bible reveals some realities about heaven to whet our appetites for this future destination.

The doctrine of hell is uncomfortable for most of us. However, our understanding of hell shapes our view of the gospel, God’s holiness, and our depravity. If we don’t accept the reality of hell, we won’t rightly understand the glory of the gospel. No one talked about hell more in the Bible than Jesus. In this message we find out why.
